While a lot of the country is deep in the grips of an ice storm, it’s the perfect time to look at buying an outdoor grill (or a BBQ grill for those not from one of the major BBQ producing regions).

Winter is the best time to buy a grill for two reasons: prices are generally more favorable and there’s nothing like staying warm by the comforting heat of a grill while the intoxicating smell of cooking meat slices through the chilled air.

The prices are generally lower for the same reason that it’s cheaper to buy a coat in the summer or Valentine’s Day candy in March – it’s the off-season for grilling.

The second reason is a personal preference and may require therapy.
